IFMCH has conducted 25 health awareness programmes in the UK , raising awareness among 450 women between the ages of 16 and 60.
The aim of awareness programme is to educate and empower women to make the right health choices. The programme is evidence-based according to latest research.
The awareness programme uses simple, accessible language, encourages 1-1 interaction, and self development through coaching and action plans to ensure that women walk away with clear ideas to make changes in their daily lives.
The Awareness programme has achieved excellent results:
95%+ of the delegates rated the programme as good or excellent for content, simplicity, presentation and new learning.
Only 20% of women (from deprived communities) were aware of the need for regular breast checks pre-awareness programme. Post-programme, 61% had a self expressed commitment to undertake regular breast exams.
28% were aware of the risks of Rubella pre-programme. Post-programme, 62% had committed to taking a Rubella test.
92% said they would recommend the programme to a friend or family member.
