I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and I am overweight. How do I lose weight?

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is very common and a common reason for infertility and weight gain in some women.

With the syndrome your body is more prone to diabetes so if you are overweight it is important to lose weight. The best way to lose weight is by eating a healthy diet eating and by eating small but frequent meals throughout the day.

You also have to build your BMR basal metabolic rate by exercising on a daily basic even if it is 15 minutes a day. You have to increase the BMR because you need to be burning calories. For example you could be eating 1,500 calories a day through healthy food but you also need to burn more calories than you consume and need to lose weight.

Set a target to lose just 1 lbs a week. This is achievable but you must be have to be focused. Try to maintain a food and exercise calender to help you stay motivated. By losing 1 lb a week through healthy eating and daily exercise you should reach a health weight in a steady way.
