Thrush is a common problem and in most cased it can be cured by taking Pessary just once which is available over the counter. One should refrain from excessive washing as it disturbs the normal flora and can lead to recurrent thrush. If the thrush is occurring very often, then a medicine called itraconazole can be used for a month but before this you should contact the GP for swabs making sure it is thrush.
