I am trying to get pregnant. How do I prepare for pregnancy?

If you are planning a pregnancy you need to be in optimal health. Check with your GP to make sure you have been immunised for rubella, this is important if you are not there is a risk of miscarriage and the baby can be born with many defects. Use protection for 3 months. Make sure you are not anaemic as iron levels decrease during pregnancy if you have any underlying medical condition visit your GP for a consultation to make sure the condition is under control before you try to get pregnant.
